One of the most common requests I have as a portrait photographer is for the Best Beach Portrait Locations on the South Shore Massachusetts! So I figured I would put together a list of my favorites for clients to have an easy resource to pick their favorite local beach location. Check out these amazing South Shoe beaches below!

Bay Farm - Kingston, Massachusetts

This is one of my personal favorites in the summer. We'll walk through paths of overgrown wildflowers flowers in the most beautiful field, and arrive at a big beautiful cliff over looking the ocean. There's a small beach with really cool trees to use for photos too! So many back drops in one amazing place!

Ellisville State Harbor - Plymouth Massachusetts

This beach is hidden away down a quarter mile long path of trees and fields. There are spots to stop along the way to shoot at to mix up the normal beach feel with woods!

Powder Point - Duxbury, Massachuetts

This beach is beautiful, with dunes and inlets, and of course the iconic Powder Point Bridge!

Webb Memorial Park - Weymouth, MA

This park is such a hidden gem! There are tons of fields and pathways to photograph on, plus two beautiful beaches and a view of the Boston Skyline! This is my favorite spot for fall and winter portraits.

Scituate Light House - Scituate, MA

Scituuate Light can be a tricky spot to photograph during the bright mid day, but as soon as the sun begins to set, magic happens. There's a beautiful jetty for a background too!

If you’re shooting beach portraits on the South Shore, Duxbury Beach and Nantasket are gorgeous at golden hour! I took some great shots there last summer and used https://www.movavi.com/support/how-to/automatic-video-editor.html to lightly edit the colors—just brightened the blues and warmed up the skin tones. It’s super intuitive if you’re not a pro but still want polished results. Highly recommend scouting those spots!
